The BIRKENSTOCK classic Tokio Pro has become a true classic among professional shoes, especially for medical professions. The clog is fitted with an anatomically shaped original BIRKENSTOCK cork-latex footbed and a dual-component sole. This comprises a cushioning midsole made from EVA and a nonslip, dynamic, treaded outsole made from genuine rubber. The outsole can furthermore be repaired. Therefore, the clog is particularly well suited to day-to-day wear in hospitals. The upper is made from high-quality, particularly soft natural leather which is coated with polyurethane (PU). The PU coating makes the material more durable and thus particularly long-lasting. The clog offers comfort and safety. The shoe’s enclosed design protects the foot from impacts and the injuries they cause. Thanks to the adjustable strap with a sturdy metal buckle on the instep, it can also be adjusted to the wearer’s feet. A backstrap that can be perfectly fitted to the wearer’s feet thanks to an individually adjustable metal buckle provides the foot with additional grip and a firm step – even when everyday working life gets hectic.

Material
The natural leather that we use is mostly smooth leather, in some cases tumbled leather. This type of leather has many special characteristics, such as breathability, adaptation to the shape of the foot and durability.
Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material.
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.
The super-grip sole is comprised of two components: a nonslip, oil- and grease-resistant outsole made of rubber and a shock-absorbing midsole made of light, flexible EVA.
